For many organs, the switching systems wear down and become slow and inconsistent in performance. A few churches request the pneumatic systems be restored. For everyone else, we remove the old system and replace it with solid state hardware built by Musicom Ltd. of the UK. This system is one of the best and most user-friendly components in the industry.
Some instruments have deteriorated to the point where the action is not worth restoring but the pipe work is in good condition. Rebuilding the organ with new parts will allow the original pipes to play for many years along with new components. An organ may need additional pipes to accommodate a growing congregation or a growing music program. The organ is carefully researched and the additions are added with very careful considerations.
The church's initial investment in an organ is quite high and keeping it in good shape reflects the importance of that investment. We offer a regular maintenance program that includes tuning, light maintenance and any reports of observations when the instrument needs major work.
Years of dust and dirt can impede the performance of an organ to the extent of even changing the tonal sound and timbre. Cleaning each part restores the life of the instrument and sets it back on the path of excellence providing longevity.
When an organ gets to the point past what a cleaning or minor repairs might provide, we may suggest a full restoration. This involves removing damaged or worn parts and replacing them with new, or original parts depending on the historical value of the instrument.
